Alliance Française d'Austin offers private and semi-private classes for adults and children ages 7 years and up. Our French language courses are all online via Zoom. You can sign up here for a package of private or semi-private classes with a highly-qualified professional native French-speaking instructor from our team.

Our instructors emphasize a conversational approach, and our exceptional private and semi-private lessons offer a more tailored experience than our group classes. Private and semi-private lessons are appropriate for all levels, from absolute beginners to advanced, nearly-fluent French speakers. A discount is given for purchasing a package of 20 hours. To embark on your journey to French fluency, simply create an account, then email our school coordinator at admin@afaustin.org to select an instructor for you based on your learning style and availability, and then sign up for private lessons here. After purchasing your package, your lessons will be scheduled for you in Zoom.

Important information about semi-private classes: Partners for semi-private classes are arranged by students, not by AFA. In other words, if you do not have a friend, spouse, fellow student from a previous class, etc. who is at a comparable level as you are, then please sign up for private lessons. Semi-private lessons allow two students who already know each other and know that they are at a similar French language competence to be in the same class together. When signing up for a semi-private class, each person needs to sign up for their own account and buy a semi-private package. For example, if two friends would like to experience the joy of learning French together, each one needs to create an account, and then buy a semi-private lessons package. So each friend will have their own account and their own semi-private lessons package.

With Alliance Française, students benefit from decades of experience and development of our teaching methods, our qualified teachers, and advanced research in second language acquisition. Alliance Française d’Austin’s program and evaluation systems are modeled on the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
