Alliance Française d’Austin’s Dr. Miller Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship for Alliance Française d’Austin is awarded twice a year. Each scholarship is for three consecutive sessions for one individual. The scholarships to be awarded are for current students and former students who have attended at least one session in last 18 months -OR- any AFA member in good standing. Board members and AFA employees, as well as family and relatives of the Board members and/or the Alliance employees, shall not be eligible to receive the scholarship.
Applicants must write an essay of between 250 and 500 words that addresses both their long-term commitment to French and how the scholarship will help them continue to achieve their language learning goals. Our selection committee will be awarding one individual this scholarship. Early or late applications will not be considered in the evaluation process. In addition, once 25 applications have been received for the scholarship, it shall be closed to further applications.
Our next application period will run from April 1st through April 15th of 2024 for Sessions IV, V & VI of 2024.
