Placement evaluations are offered for those registering for our GROUP classes. Students with any prior knowledge of French are strongly encouraged to do a FREE online placement when registering for the first time with Alliance Française d’Austin. In helping us define which level is most appropriate for you, you will make the best of your learning experience with us.
If you are an absolute beginner, then there is no need to do a placement interview. You can simply sign up for level A1 Beginner 100 to begin your French language adventure. Placement tests are not necessary if you are registering for private classes.
To schedule a placement evaluation: 1) Create your account here. 2) Please email us at admin@afaustin.org to schedule your free placement for the next session. This will be a short, informal conversation over Zoom to get to know you and your learning goals, figure out what teaching style is best for you, and assess what level you will be most comfortable in. Don’t worry, it’s not a test!
