The Frédérique Moinard Memorial Scholarship

The Alliance Française d’Austin is pleased to offer a scholarship program to encourage French language and culture study. Students who are enrolled in an accredited college or university in Austin are invited to participate. Awards may be applied toward the cost of French textbooks, course tuition, study abroad programs, or other relevant expenses.
Scholarship award
§ 3 prizes in the amount of $800 each.
§ Applications evaluated and award recipients determined by a Scholarship Committee
appointed by the Alliance Française d’Austin Board of Trustees.
Eligibility
Student must be currently registered in an accredited university or community college
in Austin, and enrolled in a French course – French III or above (second year or higher).
All applicants must submit the following
§ Application Form completed by student (download here)
§ Recommendation from current French professor (download here)
§ Essay (500 words or less) in French or in English
Completed application, recommendation, and essay should be submitted
via email to scholarship@afaustin.org no later than November 7, 2011.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Awards’ announcement will be posted on www.afaustin.org and recipients will be notified.
