The Alliance Française d’Austin is pleased to invite
AFA students to participate in its 2011 award program
Awards 7 prizes will be awarded, each consisting of a gift certificate for a 7-week session of AFA group classes meeting once a week.
Awards will be made based primarily on student’s performance in AFA French courses, dedication to the study of French, progress and class participation as evidenced by the candidate’s essay and teacher’s recommendation. Applications will be evaluated and award recipients determined by a Scholarship Committee appointed by the Alliance Française d’Austin Board of Trustees. Eligibility Students currently enrolled at the Alliance Française d’Austin who have taken at least 4 seven-week sessions of group classes or a minimum of 40 hours of private classes at the AFA. Application should include: § A completed Application Form (download application here)
§ A Recommendation from your current AFA teacher
§ A short essay (500 words or less) in French or in English
Completed application, essay and recommendation must be submitted via e-mail by November 7, 2011 to AFAscholarship@afaustin.org Incomplete applications will not be considered.
